Relative Gene Expression Analysis

Relative gene expression analysis is a valuable method of quantifying gene expression by comparing target transcripts and reference genes. Gene expression calculations can be performed using either the comparative CT or the standard curve methods.

Relative gene expression reduces the likelihood of pipetting errors and allows for increased throughput by calculating gene expression of the target and control within the same tube. To ensure accurate calculations, the amplification efficiency of target and control should be the same. Using PCR Biosystems’ qPCR reagents, you will get reliable results with early Ct values due to our enzymes’ rapid extension rate.
