Inhibitor-Tolerant qPCR Reagents

Inhibitor-Tolerant qPCR & RT-qPCR
Inhibitor-Tolerant qPCR and RT-qPCR for robust detection in the presence of common PCR inhibitors and direct amplification from crude samples.PCR Biosystems’ Clara® and Air-Dryable Inhibitor-Tolerant qPCR and RT-qPCR mixes are expertly formulated to overcome a wide range of challenging sample types and avoid PCR inhibition by sample-related substances. Whether working with complex clinical specimens, environmental samples, or crude extracts, these mixes deliver reliable, high-sensitivity amplification, without the need for extensive sample purification.
The Clara® range is designed for standard laboratory conditions, while the Air-Dryable formulations are tailored for workflows where cold storage is limited or not feasible. Air-Dryable formats retain inhibitor-tolerant properties, sensitivity and target specificity, while supporting air-drying. This makes inhibitor-tolerant qPCR mixes ideal for field-deployable diagnostic platforms or ambient-temperature shipping.
Tolerant to a wide range of inhibitors
These mixes have been validated across diverse inhibitor classes, including:
-
Biological inhibitors: heparin, haemoglobin, bile salts, urea
-
Environmental inhibitors: humic acids, tannins, polyphenols
-
Sample matrix carryover: detergents, ethanol, formalin (FFPE)
Applications & Use Cases
-
Direct PCR/RT-qPCR: Perform amplification directly from blood, serum, crude lysates or swabs without purification.
-
Environmental testing: Amplify nucleic acids from soil, wastewater, or plant tissues.
-
Forensic and FFPE: High-quality amplification from degraded or preserved samples.
