cDNA Synthesis for qPCR Analysis

Reverse Transcription qPCR (RT-qPCR) is an instrumental technique for the analysis of gene expression. For expression studies to be successful, it is essential for high quality cDNA to be generated that accurately represents the RNA of interest prior to subsequent qPCR analysis.

Many factors affect cDNA synthesis including the reverse transcriptase, buffer system, enhancers and priming strategy. Careful priming is needed to prevent over-representation of cDNA synthesised from the 5′ or 3′ ends of the RNA (5′ or 3′ bias) and to avoid an abundance of truncated cDNA transcripts. qPCRBIO cDNA Synthesis Kit contains an optimised blend of random hexamers and anchored oligo(dT) and is specifically designed to generate high quality, unbiased cDNA for downstream qPCR analysis.

UltraScript™ Reverse Transcriptase & cDNA Synthesis Kits

UltraScript is a thermostable reverse transcriptase, producing high quality cDNA ideal for a variety of downstream applications. The enzyme enables highly sensitive and accurate reverse transcription of viral RNA sequences, making it an ideal component of RT-qPCR-based virus detection tests.
