SampleTrack Buffer

PB40.71 SampleTrack Buffer for sample visualisation

Optimise your workflow and eliminate handling errors with this yellow sample visualisation buffer. SampleTrack Buffer is a 100x aqueous solution of a yellow dye, suitable for sample visualisation during PCR and qPCR reaction setup.

SampleTrack Buffer can be used to monitor sample addition to any qPCR or PCR mix from PCR Biosystems, including Red endpoint mixes and cDNA synthesis kits. It is particularly recommended in combination with Blue and Purple qPCR products

SampleTrack buffer helps you keep track of sample addition during PCR and qPCR setup. The buffer contains a yellow dye has an absorbance maximum at ~410 nm, and is inert, meaning it does not inhibit PCR reactions and does not quench fluorescence of SYBR-type dyes or common qPCR probes at the recommended concentration.

Features

  • Easy-to-see sample visualisation dye
  • Inert, doesn’t affect PCR and qPCR reactions
  • Non-quenching, doesn’t quench common qPCR dyes
  • Compatibility with all PCR Biosystems PCR and qPCR products
  • High concentration, doesn’t dilute your sample

Applications

  • Endpoint PCR
  • qPCR
  • Visualisation of PCR sample addition
SampleTrack Buffer addition changes the reaction colour from blue to green, when used with qPCRBIO SyGreen or Probe Blue Mixes and from purple to orange when used with Clara Probe and Probe 1-Step Purple Mixes.
Even when used with clear reagent and Red endpoint mixes, SampleTrack Buffer enables accurate sample visualisation

When using PCR Biosystems “Blue” mixes, the reaction colour will switch from blue to green, and when using “Purple” mixes, the reaction colour will switch from purple to orange, when adding samples with SampleTrack Buffer. Clear mixes will correspondingly turn yellow. “Red” endpoint mixes will turn bright orange.

Simply add the buffer to any DNA, RNA or cDNA sample so that it has a 1x concentration in the final PCR or qPCR reaction volume (add to 5x final concentration when using with “Red” endpoint mixes). The dye can be added to the entire sample prior to storage, or to an aliquot, depending on experimental requirements. There is no need to amend cycling conditions, when using SampleTrack Buffer.
