Can I reduce the time of initial polymerase activation step at 95 °C in my thermal cycling program?
Yes, the activation time of qPCRBIO SyGreen (Blue) Mix at 95 °C can be reduced to 10 seconds. This will not impact the amplification of most templates. However, we would advise testing and comparing this to the 2-3 min activation recommended in the manual, particularly when working with difficult, high-GC targets.
